The Best Way To Make Cottonballs & Vaseline Tinder!
Sometimes you have to depend on your small survival skills to survive when nothing else is around that you can use. It really, I guess, could be considered a "concealed" weapon but in a good way.

COLT DEFENDER. Now in 9mm
For years one of my dream guns that I wanted to own someday was the Colt Defender. But, as it was only offered in 45 caliber I stayed away from it. The cost on 45 ammunition was prohibitive and at the time I simply couldn't afford it. I prayed that perhaps someday Colt would offer this fine single action semi-auto in 9mm. And now they have!
I'll soon be crossing this purchase off of my "must have someday" list and will have a new carry weapon upon which I can depend to defend myself and my family.
If you've been searching for a single action semi-auto weapon that is easy to carry and use this should be your next purchase at your local gun shop.

Shooting Distances In Your Practice Sessions
There's been quite a discussion lately about the distance you should shoot while on the range practicing. Here's one of the answers that I've found most helpful as I researched this topic.
“. . . A group that can be covered by a quarter at 11 feet will spread out, but still be under 2″ at 21 feet and just over 6″ at 25 yards. In other words, the exact distance doesn’t matter all that much at the distances where people are most likely to need to use a firearm in self defense. A bad group will be a bad group at 5, 11, or 21 feet and a ragged one-hole group will be a ragged one-hole group at 5, 11, or 21 feet. This principal is why, again, depending on the study, 85% of rounds fired by officers within 21 feet completely miss their target – the distance just doesn’t matter as much as solid shooting fundamentals.”
I hope this helps you as you continually maintain and hone your shooting skills.

Our Southern Borders
Yes, in fact there is something we can do. VOTE! Tis the season folks and even voting in your local community for local people on school boards, city counsels etc. makes a difference. Please exercise your right and VOTE. If you don't, well, don't come crying when your schools become overcrowded and the social security payment you thought you would have when you retire is no longer available.

I've always preferred the 357 over any other round but until they came up with a higher capacity I was in quite a predicament. And then (music please) the 357 Sig came out. Can you say "happy dance?"
This is a great review with valuable information you can use. Enjoy!

Bulldog "Cell Phone" Concealed Carry Holster Review for Pocket Pistols
This is an interesting holster that just might work in certain cases. Though he mentions using it for "open carry" I don't recommend it. Open carry just makes you a target and you really don't want that now, do you?

Ruger SR22
I just picked up one of this great little Ruger SR22 and love it. Fact is, I'm seriously considering using it as a primary carry weapon. Not sure yet as I must admit that I'm not totally convinced that a 22 is a strong enough cartridge to get the job done should it ever need doing. Having said that however if you're not carrying yet and are looking for a weapon that is easy to shoot, has low recoil and is simple to clean then you should consider this new offering from Ruger.
